Accessibility Statement

Many of our members are over 55, and some use screen readers, larger text, or keyboard navigation. A website they cannot read is not much use to them, so accessibility is something we actually care about here rather than a box to check.

What we aim for

We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as our standard.

What we have done

• A larger base text size than is typical, with generous line spacing
• Color combinations chosen for contrast, and information never conveyed by color alone
• Text alternatives for meaningful images
• Headings structured in order, so screen readers can navigate the page properly
• Keyboard navigation with visible focus, and form fields with real labels
• Generous tap target sizes, and layouts that work on a phone or a tablet

Where we know we fall short

We will be honest rather than claim full compliance. Some embedded third-party tools — scheduling, forms, and video players — are not fully under our control, and their accessibility varies. Where an embedded tool creates a barrier, please call us and we will simply do the thing for you over the telephone.
